History Comes Alive!
Mrs. Hake's 4th Grade class has adopted the Eddie family cemetery, established in 1838. The class has researched the history of the Eddie family, planted spring blooming bulbs, added a bench and a new sign marking the site. The once overlooked site is becoming a neighborhood landmark!
On May 31, 2008, the new marker was dedicated at the cemetery. Mrs. Joyce Franklin, from the Daughters of the American Revolution, dedicated the sign. The event was well attended by the community. Students in Mrs. Hake's class shared their work with history tours at the site.
